Registered Speech Language Pathologist
Fiona received her Master of Speech and Language Pathology from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. She is registered with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia and certified by Speech-Language and Audiology Canada. She is currently on the Registry of Autism Service Providers as a supervised SLP. Fiona has experience working with children with a range of speech and language disorders, as well as children with developmental disabilities, complex communication needs, and children using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Her main areas of clinical interest include stuttering, autism spectrum disorder, sensory impairments (vision and/or hearing loss), language delays/disorders, and AAC. Fiona holds a certificate in teaching English as a second language and has experience working as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher. She has completed professional development in Social Thinking® methodology by Michelle Garcia Winner and It Takes Two to Talk® and the Hanen Program® for Parents of Children with Language Delays. Fiona is passionate about providing holistic and individualized services using a play-based and functional approach. In her spare time, Fiona enjoys singing in a choir and spending time outdoors.
