Speech-Language Pathology Assistant & Early Communication Assistant
Simman is a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) and Early Communication Assistant (ECA) with Speech Meta.
She is in her final year of a Speech Sciences degree at the University of British Columbia and is excited to continue her journey toward becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Simman has diverse experience supporting children in the neurodivergent community and brings a positive, family-centered approach to her work. Her dedication to fostering communication and social development comes from a deep passion for helping children learn and thrive.
In her role, Simman provides sessions in the clinic as well as in community settings such as daycares and preschools. She feels honoured to support children and their families and is grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact alongside them.
Fluent in English and Punjabi, Simman values the role of culture and language in shaping communication. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering in her community, traveling, spending time with family and friends and watching Disney movies!
